I aim to be transparent with you every time I’m in touch. Not only because it’s what’s right but because that’s who I am.
So, please hear me clearly: The stakes could not be higher when the Senate majority is on the line.
I’m using bullet points because you must realize the precarious situation my team and I are in:
- Yesterday, I emailed a list of supporters explaining how my campaign had been outraised by more than $5 million in Q1. I’m not sure whether folks like you received my note, but to say the results it yielded were underwhelming is an understatement. My plea for help raised just $273. link to donate→
- We’re ahead in the polls, but it’s a statistical tie. The most recent national survey showed me leading my progressive opponent, Jon Tester, by 3%. But in polling terms, this race is anyone’s to win or lose.
- Republicans need to flip one seat to win the Senate majority. That might sound easy, but entrenched incumbents, like Jon Tester, don’t have plans to lose, and they’re raising RECORD sums of money to buy themselves another term in office. link to donate
- Since Tester announced his plans to run for reelection in early 2023, he’s raised more than $31 million. He raised $7.25 million from January 1st to March 30th.
My opponent writes that he’s “stressed” and “worried,” but I should be the one in this race who’s stressed and worried. We’re tied with my opponent in the poll, but he’s leaving me in the dust when it comes to fundraising.
I need help. I know you’re receiving many requests for help – I got 70 emails asking for money yesterday. I also know that resources are limited, but I don’t know where else to turn.
Last month alone, Jon Tester received donations from 61,000 Democrats. Surely, they’re 61,000 conservatives interested in helping me put him out to pasture, right?
