"I'm Governor Gavin Newsom, and I'm asking for your support"
Hey, it’s Gavin Newsom, Governor of California here with a critical message about what’s at stake this November in one of our key battleground states: North Carolina.

But first, I need you to hear this. This year, we have a defining presidential election and competitive governors’ races in critical battlegrounds on our hands. So please: will you chip in $3 – or whatever you can afford – toward the DGA’s $75,000 goal before the end-of-month deadline tomorrow at midnight? Believe me, it adds up fast when we're all chipping in, so any amount will make a huge difference.

The stakes are incredibly high this November.

Right now, my friend and Democratic candidate for North Carolina governor, Josh Stein, is up against far-right Republican Mark Robinson: a wild conspiracy theorist who denies climate change and the Holocaust, and says he wants to remove science and social studies in 1st through 5th grade curriculums. He has even said if he wins, he would push for an abortion ban without exceptions.

But Robinson is WILDLY popular among the MAGA-right and is getting lots of support in his campaign. The reality is this, team: he has a real chance of getting elected in November. Recent polls show this race is already a statistical tie, with Robinson polling just two points behind Josh Stein – 47 to 49!

And it’s not just in North Carolina. Across the country, MAGA extremists are systematically attacking the very foundations of our society. They’ve silenced speech and made it harder to cast a ballot. They’ve signed dangerous abortion bans into law and want to go after contraception next. And they’ve even made democracy a partisan issue.

But I promise you – Democratic governors like me are fighting back, and will continue to fight every single day to protect our most fundamental rights. From protecting voting and reproductive rights and fighting to keep everyone’s kids safer from gun violence – we are delivering for the American people.

But there’s a tough fight ahead of Democrats this year – the White House, control of Congress, and 11 critical governors' races are all on the ballot. John, we can’t fall short this time. We have to be ready for GOP attacks. So I’m asking you to chip in whatever you can before the DGA’s end-of-month deadline.
