Last week was a GREAT week for workers in New York City and across the country, John!

We’ll explain more in just a moment, but first: Would you make a one-time contribution toward Brad’s work to champion NYC workers? [[link removed]]

FIRST: Brad announced that the Comptroller’s Office won $2.7 MILLION in back wages for health care office workers contracted by NYC Health and Hospitals. Since beginning his term as Comptroller in 2022, Brad’s office has won over $8 million in back wages and civil penalties that New York City workers missed out on as a result of employer negligence and misclassification.

THEN: Brad went to the White House to meet with national labor leaders. As custodian of one of the largest public pension systems in the U.S., Brad is committed to advocating for workers' rights and the freedom of workplace organization on behalf of New York City pension funds – because it’s good for workers, and good for returns.

NOW: Two potential changes at the federal level could provide meaningful support to working families nationwide. After the Federal Trade Commission voted to ban noncompete agreements, employees across the country previously bound by these agreements may soon be able to apply for jobs they were previously unable to apply for. On the same day , the Department of Labor announced a rule to expand overtime pay eligibility for millions of workers!

These great strides toward ensuring fair and equitable treatment of all workers are just the beginning. As NYC Comptroller, Brad is well aware that no workplace can function without its workers.

Brad will never stop fighting to ensure New York City’s workers are treated with respect and dignity and paid what they’re owed. If you’re with him, will you pitch in ahead of his end-of-month deadline on Tuesday? [[link removed]]
