When I first got to Congress in January of 2023, I was full of hope and excitement about what we could get done working in the House.

Needless to say, the reality of working in Congress didn’t exactly sync up with my freshman expectations and optimism.

I love my job representing the people of KY-03, and while the House isn’t exactly what I was anticipating, I have learned some valuable lessons I’m looking forward to bringing into a second term.

In just a moment, I’d like to share 3 things I’ve learned during my first term, but before I do: Would you please consider chipping in $30 — just $10 for each lesson below — toward my campaign’s $15,000 April fundraising goal?

1) Our values are worth fighting for. Progress might not always happen as fast as we’d like, but I’m in it for the long haul, and I’ll never stop fighting for Kentucky.

2) You cannot count on the GOP to do the right thing. House Republicans are always ready and willing to put Trump’s needs over those of working families.

3) The next generation is already here. Young people — activists, organizers, those running for office — give us hope for the future, and we need to empower and support them.

If we continue to fight for what we believe in, refuse to be shut down by those seeking to undo our progress, and work together, we can flip the House blue in November and truly get to work.

Can I count on your support, John? If so, it would mean the world to me and my team if you could pitch in a grassroots donation toward our April fundraising goal today.
