John, time really does fly by. 

 

I officially launched my campaign for Congress one year ago this month. 

 

And I'm so grateful to have had this opportunity to learn and grow alongside you. Before I go over some of the great things we've been able to accomplish in these last 12 months, the next 5 will be our busiest yet. Will you support my campaign with a donation before tomorrow's End of Month Fundraising Deadline?

Since day one of launching my campaign to unseat MAGA Republican John James, I've received an incredible and overwhelming amount of support from folks across the district. And thanks to generous people like you, my team and I have been able to:

 

1️⃣ Connect with voters to share my plan to make MI-10 safer, protect our rights, and invest in our communities. 

 

2️⃣ Receive endorsements from multiple organizations around the state and across the country: Everytown for Gun Safety, GIFFORDS PAC, Brady PAC, and Ban Assault Weapons Now.

 

3️⃣ Submit almost 2,000 signatures and file the necessary paperwork to get my name on the ballot. 

 

A lot has changed since I first decided I was going to run for Congress, but my motivation has always stayed the same: I'm a mom, who like many, is tired of seeing Republicans put their political agenda over our kids' lives. 

 

And while we've accomplished so much on this journey together, this really is just the beginning. Now that my name is on the ballot, my team and I are ready to ramp up our field efforts, but we need your help. Emily Busch

Emily first learned the importance of community and helping others from her mom, a nurse, and dad, a manufacturing representative, while growing up in a tight-knit, middle-class Midwestern family.

The proud product of public schools, Emily worked hard in and out of the classroom, balancing her studies and interest in performing arts with an after-school job as a cashier at Ace Hardware. She went on to earn her B.A. in Biology from Indiana University and Masters from Michigan State University.

Now, Emily is running for Congress in Michigan’s 10th District to keep our kids safe, protect our rights, and lower costs for Michigan families.

Emily chose to move to Oakland County two decades ago because it was the place she wanted to raise her family – a place with friendly neighbors, good schools, and safe neighborhoods.

She and her husband, a retired firefighter and Marine, enjoy camping, fishing, and visiting national parks in their free time.
