I will begin with the most time-sensitive information, and then move to general updates.

Organizing for Power Training

The most pressing thing is that our chapter's Workplace Organizing Committee is hoping to participate in the upcoming Organizing for Power training hosted by the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation to build our skills and capacity.

We need more participants to be able to take this course, so please sign up to join us if you can. If you can participate, please fill out this form no later than the morning of Wednesday, May 1st (May Day).

The program will have sessions once a week for six weeks on Tuesdays from 7pm-9:30pm CT.

Upcoming Committee Meetings

Both our Legislation Action Committee and our Workplace Organizing Committee recently had our first meetings in the last couple of weeks. They both have energy and new members participating, and we want you to join their work to make them successful.

You can always find our upcoming event schedule at https://memphisdsa.org. However for your convenience, our upcoming committee meetings are:

Workplace Organizing Committee - Monday, May 6th at 6pm at RP Tracks.

Legislative Action Committee - Thursday, May 9th at 7pm at RP Tracks.
