When we sent it, Kari Lake was still trying to walk back her extreme stance on abortion — how she said it was the “ultimate sin” and called the Civil War-era ban that’s currently in place a “great law” when she was campaigning for governor.

You’ll never guess what happened after that.

She flipped again, doubling down on her anti-abortion extremism. Now she’s saying it’s “unfortunate” that Arizona officials aren’t planning to enforce this ban from 1864 that would jail nurses and doctors.

Yeah, the same ban she was running away from as fast as she could just a couple weeks ago. Go figure.

Look... what I know for sure is that we can’t afford Kari Lake in the U.S. Senate. Not only is she a flip-flopper, she’s dangerous. She’s a threat to the Constitution that I swore an oath to protect when I joined the Marines.

Back in 2022, Kari Lake had this to say about the near-total abortion ban in Arizona:

She had a lot to say about abortion bans back then. She called abortion the “ultimate sin” and was pushing to enforce this extreme ban during her last campaign.

But at some point over the last year or so, she realized that restricting the rights that generations of women were born with is incredibly unpopular, and that this near-total ban on abortion from a law originally passed 160 years ago could hurt her chances at gaining more power and influence.

So… she’s running from her past statements as fast as she possibly can. There’s a word for that: Gaslighting.

If Kari Lake was so adamant about her support for abortion bans in 2022, why would anyone trust her now that she’s changed her tune?

We won’t let Arizona forget that Kari Lake strongly supported this law, and that her hero Donald Trump made these abortion bans possible when he filled the Supreme Court with far-right justices.

What is absolutely crystal clear is that we have to defeat Kari Lake and send Ruben Gallego to the U.S. Senate.
