take action today #dontexcludeme

Dear John,

Today, the DC Council voted on the second piece of legislation to address the COVID crisis. They took many important steps to protect renters, workers, incarcerated people, and more. Unfortunately, they continued to fail excluded workers. You can read DC JWJ's statement here.

Nearly all members of the Council made statements in support of funding for excluded workers. However, the Council is not scheduled to meet for another month. In order to meet the urgent and growing need for cash assistance to excluded workers, Mayor Bowser must act.

We call on Mayor Bowser to act THIS WEEK to ensure the safety of these excluded members of our community.
