Breaking news from Politico: Congressional campaigns brace for fundraising disaster

John —

Important news to share with you this morning — our Democratic candidates are bracing for a fundraising disaster right now.

According to a new Politico report, the coronavirus outbreak has significantly slowed down fundraising for Senate and House candidates in the last few weeks and it’s expected to get even worse.

It’s clear this is because our candidates were forced to cancel all in-person fundraising events (unquestionably the right thing to do in the middle of this unprecedented pandemic.)

Now that Mitch McConnell’s super PAC booked $67 million in negative TV ads, we’re entering a critical moment in the fight to take back our government from Senate Republicans. These attacks cannot go unanswered, and it’s going to be up to every one of us to respond during this outbreak. So, we’re asking:

If you’re financially able, can you rush a contribution of $10 or more to help us support Democratic Senate candidates who have paused in-person fundraising events while facing nasty attacks from Republican super PACs?

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

Never before has grassroots fundraising been more important in the fight to Flip the Senate than it is right now. But we also know a lot of people are struggling with economic or health hardships, so please only chip in if you can afford to do so.

We appreciate you being a part of this team, and when we take back our government in November, it will be because of your hard work and support in times like these.

All our best,

— Flip the Senate
