Dear Movement Family,
Please join us at the National Press Club via livestream, Monday, April 29th, at 10 a.m. ET to hear us publicly launch the June 29th “Mass Poor People & Low-Wage Workers’ Assembly & Moral March on Washington D.C. & to the Polls.” The press conference will be co-hosted by Bishop William J. Barber, II, co-chair of the Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival and president and senior lecturer of Repairers of the Breach; and the Rev. Dr. Liz Theoharis, co-chair of the Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival and director of the Kairos Center.
At the press conference, we’ll hear directly impacted workers tell their stories on why we need to mobilize for June 29th. The Co-chairs will also announce the growing coalition of national anchor partners and organizations who are joining the June 29th mass assembly and moral march on Washington D.C. They’ll also present an updated 17-point policy agenda and demands we’re pushing candidates to embrace during the 2024 election season and beyond.
You can watch the press conference on the Poor People’s Campaign livestream or via C-SPAN starting at 10 a.m. ET.
Forward Together.
