We wanted to bump the note we sent you earlier this month about our fundraising
slowdown and share an update.

We had a large response from people just like you — thousands of Labour
supporters who want to defeat the Tories this year. But the truth of the matter
is we’re still short of where we need to be.

Our April deadline is tomorrow, and it’s critical that we hit our goal.

We need as many donations as possible to help us win on Thursday 2 May. Labour
wins across the country are the next step towards a Labour government.

The choice is clear: 5 more years of Tory chaos or a decade of national renewal
with Labour.

Can you please make a contribution today to help close our fundraising gap? If
you chip in now, your donation could be the one that puts us over the top.

This isn’t the update we were hoping to share, but we need your support before
the week finishes. Let us explain:

Our online donations slowed significantly towards the end of March and to be
honest, it doesn’t look like they’re picking back up. That’s the last thing we
needed to happen.

Not only are we still trying to close the fundraising gap between us and the
Tories in preparation for the general election, we’re fighting a by-election in
Blackpool and local elections across England and Wales.

We get it, it’s easy to look at the polls and think that it’s job done. But here
in HQ, we know that couldn’t be further from the truth. We’ve fought enough
elections to know that when the Tories turn on the money tap, that spells defeat
for Labour.

We’re so grateful to Labour donors like you, John xxxxxx. We understand that not everyone can give to every appeal
we make, but if you are able, a generous donation today would really give us the
boost we urgently need to get back on track:

We’re already on the backfoot when it comes to donations, so we absolutely
cannot afford to let the situation get worse.

The Tories will call an election this year. They’re scared of losing, so they
will spend more money than they ever have to beat us.

We need supporters like you to help us prepare for whatever the Tories throw our
way next year. It will be the most expensive general election ever fought , and we can expect them to fling everything and the kitchen sink at us.

Please, consider making a donation today, so that when the general election
comes, we’re not under-resourced. To stop five more years of Tory government, we
must be able to compete.

Thank you,

UK Labour HQ
