The American Founders thought that the proper role of the Supreme Court is to apply the Constitution.

But progressives see the Court differently. They want activist judges to legislate from the bench.

Even worse, progressives dismayed by recent Supreme Court decisions want to "pack" the bench with additional justices to advance a preferred policy agenda.

As Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) put it in a Boston Globe op-ed: "To restore balance and integrity to a broken institution, Congress must expand the Supreme Court by four or more seats."

That is why I'm reaching out to you today...
