Congress voted last week to send billions more in weapons to Israel. Bernie made it clear to his colleagues in the Senate that their votes for this funding bill went against what the American people want and would continue U.S. complicity in the murder of Palestinian civilians.
A majority of Americans didn’t want Congress and President Biden to send Netanyahu more bombs. They did it anyway. But President Biden still has the opportunity to broker a lasting Peace and it’s the only path forward to end the murder of Palestinians and starvation of over 1 million people in Gaza.

Meanwhile, many lawmakers in Congress and Netanyahu are scrambling to defend the murder of Palestinians any way they can. Congress and President Biden are taking the hypocritical, immoral position of recognizing the disastrous humanitarian situation in Gaza and STILL sending more bombs to Israel. The majority of the American people see through it.
Before the vote, Bernie said, “What we are doing today is very bad policy. We are aiding and abetting the destruction of the Palestinian people. What we are doing today is not what the American people want.”
How can President Biden and other lawmakers express concern over the grave humanitarian situation in Gaza, with over 1 million Palestinians facing starvation, then send more bombs to Netanyahu’s military?
The only way forward is for President Biden to use his power to broker an immediate, diplomatice Peace in Israel-Palestine.
