Will Face Ilhan Omar in November Election     FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE April 28, 2024 Contact: Matt Brodsky [email protected] RELEASE: Dalia al-Aqidi Wins Republican Party Endorsement in MN-5, will Face Ilhan Omar in November Election Minneapolis, MN - Dalia Al-Aqidi won Minnesota’s Fifth Congressional District’s Republican Party endorsement today by unanimous acclamation. MN-5 is an area comprising Minneapolis and the surrounding western suburbs. The district has been represented by the progressive firebrand, Ilhan Omar, since 2018. “Today also happens to be Saddam Hussein’s birthday,” Dalia told the delegates. “As someone born in Iraq, I can’t tell you how proud I am to be an American and what a gift it is to participate in this democratic process.” Dalia is running as a Republican for U.S. Congress in Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District because she takes her oath of U.S. citizenship seriously and believes in giving back to the country that allowed her to live the American dream. “We need someone focused on our communities rather than their own self-interest,” Dalia said. “I will focus on the key issues that matter to the residents of this district, such as lowering inflation, government spending, and taxes; making Minneapolis a safe place to live, work, and visit by supporting law enforcement; and by working to promote school choice, increase graduation rates, and depoliticize our classrooms. I will also work to secure our borders and strengthen our alliances.” An international journalist for over 30 years and executive director of the nonprofit American Center for Counter Extremism, Dalia immigrated legally to the United States in 1993 and has lived in downtown Minneapolis’ North Loop since 2019. Dalia promises a welcome change of course: “This district should be represented by someone who believes in the politics of inclusion and attraction, not division based on identity politics. We need someone to better reflect our values in Washington. And I believe, at the end of the day, I will have the support of those who understand the simple truth: We deserve better than Ilhan Omar.” # # # Donate Today www.DaliaForCongress.org Dalia for Congress | 8014 Olson Memorial Hwy 55 #255, Golden Valley, MN 55427-4712 Unsubscribe [email protected] Update Profile | Constant Contact Data Notice Sent by [email protected] powered by Try email marketing for free today!
