Amid infighting on the Hill, extremist Republicans are stooping to new lows trying to influence this election and flip this seat. Before I ask for your support, here’s what you need to know about our race in IL-17.

* Our seat has been named the only competitive race in Illinois. In fact, our opponent Joe McGraw outperformed Donald Trump in the Illinois primary. 

* My opponent has been promised a big fundraising boost from Speaker Mike Johnson. He called this one of his top targets for his Congressional Leadership Fund (CLF), and made clear that national Republicans plan to bankroll McGraw’s campaign. 

* As a result, far-right extremists and extreme media have been spouting hateful, and outright bigoted slanders about me on the airwaves and through the mail. The far right will stoop to the lowest levels to attack me and try to take this seat by force.

This race is heating up, and it’s clear the GOP won’t bother to maintain common decency in their effort to flip this seat.
