John, this is infuriating:


Not only did lawmakers in Tennessee vote to allow teachers and school staff to be armed in classrooms… they also let schools conceal the identities of armed teachers from parents.

Let me be clear: Arming teachers is NOT the answer to safer schools and communities. Especially when parents don’t even know that there is a gun in their child’s classroom.

Laws like this are exactly why we started Teachers Unify to End Gun Violence. Teachers need a voice before votes like this are cast. We deserve to feel empowered to stand up against lawmakers and policies that put more guns in our classrooms.
