John, before we ask you to join Emily's people-powered campaign with a donation, we wanted to say this:

We knew that reproductive freedom was going to be a big issue in 2024, and now more than ever, we need more pro-choice voices in Congress to fight for our rights. But when it comes to John James, his stance on this issue is…unclear, at best.

FIRST: In his previous campaigns, he wasn't shy about the fact that he was "100% pro-life."

THEN: He wasn't afraid to go as far as to compare abortion to genocide

NOW: After voters across Michigan have made their pro-choice stance clear, James is now taking a page out of a different book, claiming that the policy debate is "decided" and that abortion is "enshrined in our Constitution."

HOWEVER: We can see that this issue is far from resolved.

Couples who are trying to conceive in Alabama can't try IVF as an option because their doctors are terrified of prosecution.

Pregnant people in Florida are having their right to an abortion taken away, right around the time that most people find out they're pregnant in the first place.

And because of a Republican-appointed Supreme Court in Arizona, people in that state have had their right to an abortion completely taken away by a ban from the 1800's, with no exception for rape or incest.

John, while this issue might be decided in Michigan, we need a voice in Congress who understands that this fight isn't over until folks across the country can have total control over their healthcare and family-planning decisions.

And we're positive that person is Emily Busch, someone who's never wavered in her belief that these decisions should be in our hands, not in the hands of politicians or the courts.

But here's the deal – Emily's efforts to unseat John James are people-powered, which means we're depending on folks like you to get this message to folks across the district and share Emily's story. Will you help us do that with a donation today?

Thank you,

Team Emily Busch

Emily Busch

Emily first learned the importance of community and helping others from her mom, a nurse, and dad, a manufacturing representative, while growing up in a tight-knit, middle-class Midwestern family.

The proud product of public schools, Emily worked hard in and out of the classroom, balancing her studies and interest in performing arts with an after-school job as a cashier at Ace Hardware. She went on to earn her B.A. in Biology from Indiana University and Masters from Michigan State University.

Now, Emily is running for Congress in Michigan’s 10th District to keep our kids safe, protect our rights, and lower costs for Michigan families.

Emily chose to move to Oakland County two decades ago because it was the place she wanted to raise her family – a place with friendly neighbors, good schools, and safe neighborhoods.

She and her husband, a retired firefighter and Marine, enjoy camping, fishing, and visiting national parks in their free time.
