John,
I joined Lawrence O’Donnell on The Last Word to discuss Governor Youngkin’s refusal to sign a bill to protect access to contraception:

Virginians deserve a Governor who will protect access to contraception.
But Governor Youngkin did not sign this bill, because he said it went “too far.” Instead, he gutted the bill’s protections for IUDs, birth control, and emergency contraceptives.
In the wake of the Dobbs decision, we knew it was not just about abortion. We knew that the restrictions would go further, and already, we’ve seen threats to IVF in Alabama and attacks on emergency contraception.
Governor Youngkin is out of step with what the people of Virginia want, and we need legislators — and a Governor — committed to protecting our rights.
As the next Governor of Virginia, I will be committed to protecting our reproductive rights, including abortion care and access to birth control — but I need your help. Your contribution to my campaign today will help protect reproductive rights for all Virginians for generations to come:
