Friend, few moments are more inspiring than the first few weeks of the New Year. It's a time for both reflection and looking forward, a time to weigh the ultimate question: "How can we do better this year?"

And that's exactly why I'm reaching out to you now.

You see, we had a few wins for progress in 2023: States like Ohio and Minnesota moved to definitively defend reproductive rights. In California, lifesaving prescription drugs like insulin were made more affordable, and state leaders across the nation fought to protect and codify transgender rights.

But 2023 came with a series of devastating setbacks to our fight for justice too: More than a dozen states have banned abortions, book bans in schools and libraries in Republican-led states soared, our nation suffered from over 600 mass shootings, the conservative Supreme Court handed down a ruling that further stripped away the rights and protections of the LGBTQ+ community, and we experienced the hottest year ever recorded.

And 2024 is not going to be any easier.

This year, we're facing another defining presidential election and a decisive year for our fight for progress. That's why I'm working tirelessly to ensure that regardless of who wins the White House, the Senate, or the House of Representatives, your life gets better. But to do that, I need to know which fights you want to see prioritized.
