Please ignore the email you just received from us regarding the hearing tomorrow and read this one instead. We just received news, much to our surprise and disappointment, that an author’s amendment has been posted to take out the RCV Local Option provision from the Elections Finance Omnibus bill tomorrow in the House Ways and Means Committee, the last committee stop before heading to the floor.
This is urgent: We need EVERYONE who can possibly be there to show up tomorrow to make sure this amendment doesn’t happen and that RCV moves forward in the Omnibus bill.
We are organizing to be there at the start of the 11am floor session and at the 1pm hearing. If you’ve already signed up for the hearing, we need you there earlier.
Starting at 10:30am, we will be at the Capitol Building outside of the House Chamber.
At 12:30pm, we will head to the State Office Building, Room 200, for the hearing. (You can grab lunch in the Capitol cafeteria.)
