Elise Calls for Resignation of Columbia University President as Campus is Overtaken by Out of Control Antisemitic Mob

This week, as pro-terror antisemites took over college campuses across the country – Elise and House Republicans led the fight to hold university leaders accountable for appeasing and emboldening these radical groups.

Following the Education and the Workforce Committee’s hearing on antisemitism at Columbia University, antisemitic pro-Hamas mobs took over the campus. University President Minouche Shafik surrendered campus to the mob, forcing students into fully online classes for the rest of the semester.

Elise has led the fight against antisemitic attacks on college campuses and is holding those responsible accountable for their actions against Israel and the Jewish people. Elise is focused on removing this moral and cultural rot in our society.

On Sunday, Elise intensified her criticism of Columbia University’s leadership for their abject failure to enforce their own campus rules and protect Jewish students on campus. Elise stated –

“While Columbia’s failed leadership spent hundreds of hours preparing for this week’s congressional hearing, it clearly was an attempt to cover up for their abject failure to enforce their own campus rules and protect Jewish students on campus. Over the past few months and especially the last 24 hours, Columbia’s leadership has clearly lost control of its campus putting Jewish students’ safety at risk. It is crystal clear that Columbia University, previously a beacon of academic excellence founded by Alexander Hamilton, needs new leadership. President Shafik must immediately resign. And the Columbia Board must appoint a president who will protect Jewish students and enforce school policies.”

On Monday, Elise led a letter with New York’s Republican Delegation demanding the immediate resignation of Columbia President Minouche Shafik. Elise stated –

“Today I formally demanded Columbia University President Shafik resign following her failure to put an end to the mob of students and agitators spreading antisemitism and calling for acts of terrorism against Jewish students at Columbia.”

On Tuesday, Chairwoman Stefanik reiterated her demands to defund Columbia stating –

“Columbia University’s leadership has allowed an antisemitic mob to illegally take control of the school and the President announced the cancellation of all in-person classes through the end of semester. This is a disgrace and shows a fundamental lack of leadership from the President and the Board of Trustees.

These dens of antisemitic hate need to be defunded.”

Elise also demanded the Biden Administration get involved by pulling Columbia University’s federal funding. Elise stated –

“Today I demanded action from Education Secretary Cardona, DOJ Attorney General Garland, and Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas to address the out of control antisemitic takeover of Columbia University:

➡ Revoke any federal funding for Columbia University
➡ Revoke the student visas of those who are brazenly endorsing terrorism
➡ Publish the findings of the Title VI investigation into Columbia following the October 7th attack”

Elise Stands with President Trump as Far Left Dems Continue Election Interference Efforts

Another week has gone by, and Far Left Democrats are still weaponizing the judicial system against Joe Biden’s leading political opponent, President Trump. As the first member of Congress to endorse, Elise has continued to vocally support President Trump, and put corrupt judges on blast. Read the latest from Elise below –

Elise and Sen. Rubio Call on Biden Admin to Prohibit US Tech from Advancing CCP Spying Efforts

This week, Elise and Senator Marco Rubio urged Department of Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo to revoke all export licenses to Communist Chinese spy company Huawei after it announced plans to use AI technology from American company Intel in its latest computers. Read Elise’s statement –

Elise Highlights Fort Drum’s $2.5 Billion to Regional Communities

This week, Elise shared Advocate Drum’s 2023 fiscal year regional economic impact report, which detailed the military post’s contribution to Upstate New York and the North Country’s communities in the region. Elise stated –

“U.S. Army Fort Drum contributes $2.5 billion to the regional economy!
