Friend,

I just came back from a week at our southern border to see firsthand what was occurring, and our border is wide open. This is not hyperbole and the situation demands urgent attention

Here are the key points you need to know:
  1. National Security Threat: The unprecedented levels of migration have  resulted in an overwhelmed and overextended border patrol. Due to current policy priorities to process as many as possible as quickly as possible, individuals on the terrorist watch list have slipped through the cracks. As a result, there are at least half a dozen known cases where these individuals ended up in our communities before later (much later) apprehension. Moreover, our border patrol struggles to conduct counter-terrorism operations given the aforementioned policy guidance from the current Administration. Shockingly, over 2 million individuals, known as ‘gotaways’ have escaped inside our borders raising concerns about who they are and where they might be.

  2. Overburdened Americans: The burden of an open border falls disproportionately on American communities, as resources intended for citizens are diverted to assist non-citizens. In one heartbreaking incident, a small town with only one EMS ambulance found itself unable to attend to an elderly resident in need because it was already aiding a migrant. Tragically, the delay cost the resident her life.

  3. Cartel Profiteering: While chaos reigns at the border, cartels are reaping billions in profits, exploiting both migrants and the policies meant to aid them. Their greed fuels the crisis and perpetuates the cycle of suffering.

  4. Supporting Our Protectors: Despite these challenges, our border patrol and Texas law enforcement officers remain steadfast in their commitment to protecting our communities. However, they are often hampered by resource constraints and policies that prioritize other interests over their effectiveness and well-being.
It's time for action. We must address these issues with urgency and a commitment to protecting our nation and its people.

Please join us in demanding safe borders and make your voice heard.
KEEP OUR BORDERS SAFE
