But today, I’m reaching out to share why I’m supporting Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in the presidential election -- and why I hope you will, too.

I remember when I heard the news that President Biden and Vice President Harris had defeated Donald Trump back in 2020. It was an exciting and important moment for our country. Democracy prevailed, and we saw firsthand how their message of unity and progress resonated with folks across the country. As a woman, and mother of a Black son, the relief and hope that I felt was unmatched.

I want to feel that feeling again.

I’ve contemplated these questions, and I can sum up my answers in just a few words. I want my son to grow up in a country where he is respected and empowered. Where women are supported in the continuing fight for our rights. Where we treat our earth, our neighbors, and communities around the world with care, compassion and kindness. And where democracy wins. I want my son to grow up in the America that I know Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are fighting for.

Now more than ever, the soul of our nation is at stake. And Joe and Kamala are counting on all of us to do whatever it takes to fight back against extremism and support their campaign.
