I want to thank you for standing by me over the last seven
years.

When we started this journey together, we were taking small
steps, chipping away at the problems facing this country bit
by bit. But after experiencing six consecutive years of
private-sector job growth, providing 20 million Americans
with access to health insurance, producing more solar and
wind energy than ever before, watching our kids graduate
from high school at the highest rates on record, and
witnessing marriage equality become the law of the land, we
can say that we've helped to build a new foundation for
progress in this country.

We can and should be proud of what we've accomplished -- and
we should feel determined to do whatever it takes to keep
our country moving forward too:
