As your voice in Congress, I'm taking bold steps to ensure our nation's safety and support our allies.

Last weekend, we voted on a critical package that included aid for our allies, border security, and reinvestments in the American military. My border security bill - H.R. 3602 the End the Border Catastrophe Act - would have: 

• Restarted border construction
• Ended catch and release AND
• Brought back the “Remain in Mexico” policy

Unfortunately, this vote failed on the House floor even though we gained the support of some Democrat colleagues. After arriving in Washington immediately following the attacks by Iran on Israel, I knew we must support our allies but I also fought for OUR border security and to have my bill End the Border Catastrophe Act come to the House Floor. Working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle, I am committed to working to end our border crisis. 

I want to be clear about where I stand: We must be committed to our allies while also addressing the immediate needs here at home. 

Don’t let the naysayers convince you that America cannot do both. We are the greatest nation in the world and I am confident we can do both at the same time. What’s standing in the way? A Secretary who is complicit in opening our borders and a President who’s derelict in his duty to the American people.

Just this week, I was BACK on our southern border with our ranchers and local leaders. We cannot let up this fight: ensuring America remains a beacon of strength and security both at home and abroad. This is my commitment to you — balanced, strong, and decisive leadership.
