The southern border crisis is one of the BIGGEST issues facing America right now. We must come together and put partisan politics aside to finally end the unsustainable levels of illegal immigration AND reform our broken legal immigration system.
Grassroots supporters like you are the backbone of this campaign, and we couldn’t have gotten so far so early-on without you. Please consider chipping in to help us reach the finish line!

Subject: We must secure the border
To: [email protected]
John,
The biggest issues our country faces right now can only be solved by working together. We saw how important unity is this week as Congress finally took critically important action to support our allies.
Now, it is up to Congress to continue this progress and solve one of the most pressing issues we have domestically–the crisis at the southern border.
Today, I had the opportunity to meet with local law enforcement and public safety officials at the border in McAllen, Texas. I was able to see firsthand what these officers are up against and how the border crisis is hurting communities in Maryland and across the country.
I walked away with an important lesson: every day Washington politicians play politics with this crisis instead of taking bipartisan action, they are failing the American people.
This must change. The border crisis is only getting worse.
In fact, we’re hearing more stories every day about growing numbers of foreign nationals walking across the border unchecked. In fact, new reporting has revealed the number of Chinese nationals crossing the border illegally surged more than 6,300% in recent years.
This is clearly unacceptable. Our country cannot sustain it.
While I was governor, we fought to stop Maryland from being a Sanctuary State. If I have the honor of becoming your next U.S. Senator, I’ll work to address the crisis at the southern border as soon as I'm sworn in.
The politicians in Washington love to argue about this issue, but we have yet to see them pass ANY legislation to alleviate the border crisis.
Instead of playing political games with people’s lives, Republicans AND Democrats must come together to secure our borders and protect our families.
I’m running for the U.S. Senate to get our government BACK TO WORK - and that starts with finally taking long-needed action to end the migrant crisis at the southern border and fix our broken immigration system.
When I launched my campaign for the U.S. Senate, I did so with a deep resolve to maintain the leadership style and principles that guided me during my eight years as governor.
Fifty years ago, my father, Maryland Congressman Larry Hogan Sr. made a tough decision. He became the first Republican to come out for the impeachment of President Nixon. He put aside party politics and his own personal considerations and stepped up to do the right thing for Maryland and the nation.
Today, Washington is completely broken because that kind of leadership and willingness to put country over party has become far too rare. But it’s not in my nature to sit back and watch the dysfunction continue without doing what I can to roll up my sleeves and get to work.
I’m under no illusion this will be an easy road. But I’m no stranger to uphill battles, and I know I can’t do it without your support.
I don't aspire to be a United States senator. I don’t need a title and I don’t need a job, but I’m more concerned than ever about the direction of the country and I have become more convinced that I can make a difference by taking the approach and style of leadership I had during my eight years as governor to Washington.
It’s no surprise this mindset has made me a target of the Washington partisans. Despite early polls showing a lead, I know I’m the underdog in this race. And that’s why your support TODAY is so crucial.
For eight years, we proved that the toxic politics that divide our nation didn’t need to divide our state, and we got results! Let’s get back to work again and send a message to Washington that will be heard loud and clear across the country!
