of equality of opportunity. But in our current society, this is being
challenged.
A growing number of people want to replace the idea of equality of opportunity
with equality of outcomes or “equity.” And new economic and social policy
proposals are starting to reflect this shift. If this trend continues, America
could move down a path our founders would not recognize.
