Hey John, it’s Summer!
I’m writing to you this morning with a heart full of gratitude and a spirit fired up by our incredible victory on Tuesday night! 🌟 Thanks to each and every one of you, we didn't just win; we sent a loud and clear message that this movement cannot be stopped—not by Republican billionaires, not by people playing in our primaries, not by anyone!
As I said on election night: we are not new to this, we are true to this! We always stand up, we always show up, and we are always ready to fight back. We come ready and we stay ready because we know what it takes to win. Our communities are counting on us, and we won’t let them down—this fight is for them, and we’re in it together, every step of the way.
I want to thank you for helping us put in the work. It’s because of folks like you, John, that we were able to:
And guess what? Because of you, we didn't just win by a small margin—we crushed it by over 20 points! It wasn’t even close, y’all. Thank you, thank you, thank you… from the bottom of my heart.
We’ve shown time and again that we always show up. We celebrate today and tomorrow, but then it’s back to work because the general election in November is just around the corner, and we know they have it out for us. They won’t take this loss lightly. The Republicans will be back, with even bigger wallets—but they can’t match the size of our hearts or the strength of our unity.
If you’ve been with us through thick and thin, part of this movement for years—we see you, we appreciate you, and we sincerely thank you for every step we've taken together. And if you’re just joining us, having celebrated your first victory alongside us—welcome to our family of fighters! You’ve joined at just the right moment!
This win is just the beginning; we’ve got more ground to cover, more battles to win, and more history to make.
For us, we still have a general election in November to take on another MAGA extremist threatening to move our district backwards. For our movement in Congress, AIPAC has their eyes set on Jamaal Bowman & Cori Bush. That $100 million threat from their GOP megadonors is real, and they are going to spend every dollar they can to defeat our Squad in Congress.
Just like you all had my back volunteering, getting the message out and donating, we have to have Jamaal & Cori's backs now. We cannot afford to lose one member of our movement in Congress.
