John,
Before I ran for Congress, I remember getting bombarded with non-stop, hair-on-fire emails from political campaigns.
To be honest, I often tuned them out. The deadlines seemed arbitrary, and they were full of obnoxious scare tactics. In my view, Democratic donors have plenty of real reasons why they should support our cause. Resorting to exaggerations and desperation is just counterproductive.
That's why my team and I do things differently. Yes, the stakes are high, but we won't feed into the panic you might see on social media. As a career financial planner who’s helped thousands of families build out their futures, I value facts -- not hype.
So here are the facts, John: it’s been a slow fundraising month, but we still have three full days left to hit our April fundraising goal. We need a strong push starting today to get us over the top.
I won’t scare you into donating, but I do hope you’ll consider chipping in $10 to help us meet this important benchmark.
I’m incredibly proud of the grassroots movement we’ve built. I know in my heart that we have the winning movement for November, and we wouldn’t be in this position without folks like you.
I know some fundraising emails can be annoying (at best), but we’ve built our email program differently: we share what I’m doing across MI-10, explain why we count on your support, and even share personal stories from time to time!
But we can’t win this race without boosting our grassroots fundraising numbers. Here’s another fact: falling short could mean not having enough resources to run ads, hire organizers, and train volunteers.
So if you can, consider making a donation today. It really will make a huge difference for our grassroots campaign.
Thank you for everything,
Diane |
