Condemning Anti-Semitic Protests on College Campuses

Let's make one thing clear: these protests swarming college campuses across the country are pro-Hamas protests that are calling for the death of Jewish students. These "protests" have nothing to do with self-determination for Palestinians or "peace." This is about supporting Hamas and encouraging terror. Jewish students are fleeing their schools and dorms in fear for their lives. This appalling situation at Columbia is a direct result of the University's President Minouche Shafik's lax policy enforcement and clear double standards.

These anti-Israel protests can not continue without consequences. It's time to take away the privileges these anti-Semitics benefit from. We must:

❌ Fire the professors fueling these protests

❌ Take away the tax-exempt status of these Universities

❌ Deport student protestors here on visas

❌ Force the resignation of President Shafik

We can not allow this hatred and anti-Semitism to continue on college campuses or in our county.

It's Time to Shut Down our Borders & Restore Law and Order!

President Biden has the power to close our borders today, yet he refuses!

Due to his failure to act, our communities are being infiltrated by illegal immigrants using our taxpayer-funded resources and causing chaos in our communities. We've seen firsthand in NY-24 how illegal immigrants are using the Biden and Albany Democrats' woke policies to their advantage to get away with crimes. In our state, there have even been numerous reports of rape committed by illegal immigrants.

We also must not forget about Laken Riley, whose killer was set free under New York's Detainer Law. If it weren't for Albany Democrat's disastrous pro-crime policies, she would still be alive today.

It's time to shut down our borders and restore law and order in our country!

Our Community Project Funding Process is Open for FY25

The deadline to submit applications for the FY25 Community Project Funding (CPF) process is quickly approaching! This year's submissions must be submitted by Monday April 29th, 2024 at close of business.

The CPF process is an important way for members of Congress to advocate for essential projects that benefit our communities. It provides transparency, accountability, and oversight of the funding process rather than simply relying on bureaucrats to make critical funding decisions behind closed doors without congressional input. All CPF applications supported by our office must meet rigorous eligibility requirements and must provide a clear plan to execute funds promptly with strong accountability measures built in.

Local elected officials and non-profits interested in submitting applications for projects should visit my website here.

Standing with our Western New York Law Enforcement

Thank you to all the public servants who attended our Law Enforcement Roundtable in Albion this week to discuss the ongoing challenges facing our law enforcement community.

I was honored to have this insightful discussion alongside New York State Senate Minority Leader Robert Ortt, Orleans County Legislature Vice Chairman Bill Eick, Orleans County Legislature Legislator Donald Allport, Orleans County Legislator John Fitzak, Orleans County Legislator Skip Draper, and a representative from the office of Assemblyman Stephen Hawley. Law Enforcement Officers who attended included Genesee County Sheriff William Sheron Jr, Genesee County Undersheriff Bradley Mazur, Niagara County Deputy Attorney Brian Seaman, Niagara County Sheriff Michael Filicetti, Niagara County Legislator David Godfrey, Orleans County District Attorney Joseph Cardone, Orleans County Sheriff Christopher Bourke, and Wyoming County Sheriff David Linder, Lewiston Police Chief Frank Previte, Lockport Police Chief Steven Abbott, Middleport Police Chief John Swick, Holley Police Chief Robert Barton, Village of Albion Police Chief David Mogle, Village of Medina Police Chief Todd Draper, and members of the Customs and Border Patrol.

Every day, these courageous men and women risk their lives for our community, and they must have the tools they need to continue to keep themselves and our communities safe. I am eager to bring the feedback I received from our roundtable to Congress to continue advocating for the resources and legal protections our law enforcement officers deserve!

Applauding Sheriff Peter Barnett, Jefferson County Sheriff's Deputies, and CBP Agents

It was a pleasure to meet with the Jefferson County Sheriff, Peter Barnett, this week to discuss how we can ensure our law enforcement officers have the resources they need to do their jobs effectively.

Just this month, we saw how essential it is for law enforcement in #NY24 to have the tools they need to keep us safe. On April 14, our courageous CBP Agents and Jefferson County Sheriff's Deputies seized over $300,000 in smuggled tobacco products in our community.

I extend my heartfelt appreciation to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office and the CBP Agents for their unwavering dedication to our community. Their bravery is commendable, and their service is invaluable.
