South Asia
Praise God for the joyful wedding of a survivor named Jothi, who was rescued from a rice mill as a child. Jothi and her family were enslaved for years until officials and IJM helped liberate them in 2011. Since then, she has grown into a confident young woman and creative tailor. Many IJM staff were present at her wedding this week, celebrating her new life stage. Ask God for his blessings over her marriage and more stories of hope in Jothi’s community!
Africa & Europe
Please pray for healing and strength for our Ghana Survivor Network. This survivor group is working collaboratively with another local non-governmental organization to facilitate an advocacy campaign in the country. Pray that God’s favor would be with each of these courageous survivors throughout this process.
Latin America
Praise God for a successful police training in Peru this week! IJM Peru collaborated with the Children and Adolescent Protection Division of the National Police to conduct a workshop, "Policía en #ModoNiñez" (Police in #Childhood Mode), for 44 officers. Led by previously trained officers, the workshop aimed to enhance police capabilities in caring for and protecting children who have experienced violence. Please pray for the lasting impact of this workshop on the children served by the police.
Asia Pacific
Pray for all survivors who testify in court against their abusers. This requires great courage and strength, especially for young survivors. We pray for these individuals as they boldly and confidently share their stories. Additionally, we pray for wisdom and guidance for their legal teams as they pursue justice for these survivors.
