Since our organizers started in February, our team has already reached out to more than 11,000 voters across the district. But there’s still so much work to do if we’re going to flip NY-01 in November.
If Democrats don’t take back the House majority in November, we’re risking a near-total abortion ban (even in states like New York!), cuts to Social Security, attacks on our schools, and much more. We need to elect a leader with a track record of fighting for Long Islanders, and Nancy Goroff is that leader.

As we get ready to close the books on another month of this campaign, I can’t help but think about how far we’ve come since we launched in October. In less than seven months, this team has helped build a movement capable of flipping NY-01 blue and bringing in a new leader for the people of Long Island.
You don’t have to just take my word for it. As a scientist, I like having numbers to back up my claims. That’s why I grabbed some data I wanted to share with you.
Since October, we have:
- Raised over $930,000
- Gathered more than 3,300 signatures in all eight towns of NY-01 to get on the ballot
- Received endorsements from dozens of organizations and community leaders, including EMILY’s List and a gun sense candidate distinction from Moms Demand Action
- Knocked on more than 6,500 doors and made more than 4,600 calls with a team of nearly 200 volunteers
I mean it when I say the success of this campaign is because of you. We have momentum, but this will still be a tough race. That’s why I’m asking: will you chip in $10 before my end-of-month deadline? Your support will help us build on our momentum so we can defeat Nick LaLota and flip NY-01 blue.
