Dear John,
I’m sure you’ve heard the news by now. Instead of working with President Trump to meet the nation’s economic and healthcare needs during coronavirus, Democrats in the House, led by Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calf.), are instead attempting to cynically exploit the situation to push their radical Far-Left agenda.
But, before I ask you to help us win the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste’s (CCAGW) fight against her plans, I hope that you and your family are weathering this crisis as best as you can. We all know someone whose health and livelihood has been affected by this disease.
Even so, I still have to let you know that CCAGW needs your support right now to stop Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats from taking advantage of the coronavirus pandemic and implementing their expensive and fiscally-ruinous liberal wish list!
Despite the President recently signing a massive $2 trillion stimulus package, House Democrats are already recklessly barreling ahead and putting together yet another multi-trillion-dollar bill.
The expensive and unnecessary provisions that Democrats are proposing are so numerous that it is impossible to list them all here. They have absolutely nothing to do with the coronavirus response and instead push a radical political agenda, including:
- $371 billion to forgive the first $10,000 of every outstanding student loan;
- $65 billion to bail out labor union pension plans;
- $25 billion to bail out the financially-incompetent U.S. Postal Service;
- Tax credits to shore up Obamacare; and
- Many components of the Green New Deal, like extending expiring solar and wind tax credits and forcing cash-strapped airlines to cut emissions in half by buying expensive and unproven “renewable” jet fuel.
To put it frankly, I have never seen Democrats use the mantra of “never letting a crisis go to waste” more than we are seeing right now. The Democrats’ ongoing attempt to implement their radical liberal agenda, rather than help save America lives during the coronavirus crisis, is one of the worst and most despicable displays of partisanship I have ever seen.
In order to fight to stop Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats’ destructive ideas from becoming law, CCAGW urgently needs your financial support today.
As we saw with the last stimulus bill, even with a Republican Senate and President and strong objections from CAGW and other taxpayer groups, some very expensive liberal ideas ultimately became law. Your support will help us stop many of the most wasteful policies from becoming part of the next bill. <
Your support will help us go toe-to-toe with well-financed Big-Government special interest groups who support policies that allow the government to reach even deeper into our lives, our pocketbooks, and our nation’s economy. And with your donation, we will continue to rally the grassroots clout of millions of Americans from across the country to pressure their representatives and senators to stop the harmful provisions of the House Democrats’ agenda from becoming law.
Please, before you do anything else today, help CCAGW win this key battle to protect our health and the economy with a contribution of $10.00, $15.00, $25.00, $35.00, or more. I am sorry to have to ask you for your support at this unprecedented period in our history, but there is too much at stake if we fail to win this fight for our country.
Thank you for your financial support during this difficult and challenging time.
Sincerely,
Thomas A. Schatz
President
