Dear Fourth District Constituent,

Earlier this week, I hosted a Virtual Update featuring special guests Dr. Mark Seeley, Climatologist and Minnesota climate expert, and Dr. Heidi Roop, Director of the Climate Adaptation Partnership at the University of Minnesota. We discussed the state of the climate in Minnesota, and how each of us can take action to be good stewards of our planet--right here at home.

U.S. Service Academy Recognition Evening

This week I held a recognition evening for the individuals in the Fourth District who have received and accepted an appointment to a U.S. Service Academy!

Congratulations to Mason Rudin of Woodbury, Daniel Shin of Shoreview, and Benjamin Waud of Saint Paul on your appointments. Wishing you all the best as you take on this new adventure. 

Congressional Art Competition Recognition Evening

I also had the chance to host an event recognizing all of the talented young artists who participated in the 2024 Congressional Art Competition in the Fourth District. Thousands of people viewed their artwork while it was on display at the Spring Saint Paul Art Crawl at the Schmidt Artist Lofts last weekend.

I also announced the three winners of this year's competition: First place winner Karin Hoyt (Mounds View High School), second place winner Malia Tombaga (Roseville Area High School), and third place winner Abigail McNeil (Irondale Senior High School).
