Friend --

As we close the chapter on the 113th Legislative Session of the Tennessee General Assembly, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on our accomplishments and the strides we've made together for the people of our great state.

Throughout this session, we've worked tirelessly to champion policies that uplift and empower all Tennesseans. I'm proud to say that we've achieved significant victories, including the passage of legislation that enables women on TennCare to access a 12-month refill on birth control medication. This crucial measure ensures that women have consistent and reliable access to the healthcare they need to make informed decisions about their reproductive health.

Additionally, we've spearheaded efforts to implement conflict resolution programs in public schools, providing students with the tools they need to navigate conflicts peacefully and constructively. By investing in these programs, we're fostering a culture of understanding and cooperation that will benefit our communities for generations to come.

Furthermore, we've fought tirelessly to secure pay parity for public defenders, recognizing the invaluable contributions they make to our criminal justice system. Ensuring that they receive fair and equitable compensation is not only a matter of justice but also a reflection of our commitment to upholding the principles of equality and fairness.

In the face of adversity, we stood united against the Governor's "voucher scam," which threatened to undermine our public education system and divert taxpayer dollars to private interests. Through our collective efforts, we successfully defeated this harmful proposal, safeguarding the future of our public schools and protecting the interests of Tennessee's students.

As we look ahead, it's clear that there is still much work to be done. We must continue to stand together to keep our kids safe, to fight for affordable healthcare, to invest in our public education system, and to champion economic opportunities for all Tennesseans.

But we cannot do this alone. We need your support to continue our fight for a better, fairer Tennessee. Whether it's volunteering your time, spreading the word about Democrats, or making a financial contribution, every action you take brings us one step closer to realizing our vision of a brighter future for all.

Together, we can build a Tennessee where every voice is heard, every person is valued, and every opportunity is within reach.

Thank you for your unwavering support.

Sincerely,

Rep. Karen Camper, TN House Minority Leader
