Calling all students in New York's 9th District,

If you're an aspiring young artist currently enrolled in middle school or high school, I encourage you to apply for the 2024 Congressional Art Competition (CAC)!

Every spring since 1982, the Congressional Art Competition is open to our middle school and high school students within schools ranging including from public, private, and to charter schools. The Congressional Institute has long held art competitions to recognize the artistic talents of students throughout our nation, and more than 650,000 high school students have participated in these events.

We are asking all students to submit their artwork by May 1, 2024, directly to the office of Congresswoman Yvette D. Clarke for evaluation and judging.

Once the evaluation is completed, a winner will be announced on May 8, 2024.

Our goal through the CAC is to inspire all students to develop their natural creative abilities and share them throughout our district and beyond. Time and time again, the young people of Brooklyn have demonstrated their unparalleled creativity and talent. The 2024 CAC is our opportunity to showcase these singular works of art in our nation's capital.

For more information on the Congressional Art Competition, please do not hesitate to contact my office at (718) 287-1142.

Sincerely,
