Join the National Association of Scholars and the Civics Alliance for "A Discussion on Model K-12 History of Communism Standards" on Wednesday, May 1, at 2 pm ET.

Radical advocates within America’s education establishment propagandize for their polices above all by failing to teach the record of Communism.

Students do not know about the terrifying Soviet police state that was the model for Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany. They do not know about the tens of millions butchered by Communist regimes, including Russia, China, and Cambodia. They do not know how Communist regimes sought, with terrible success, to annihilate political liberty, religious liberty, economic liberty, and even the family. They do not know about the utter economic failure of Communism, or about such side effects of Communist policy as massive damage to the environment. They do not know about the Soviet espionage in America that helped secure the USSR the atomic bomb. They do not know about the sympathy too many American intellectuals felt for Communism, or how Communism has influenced modern movements such as Paulo Freire’s “Pedagogy of the Oppressed” or Critical Race Theory.

This is why the Civics Alliance has published their new Model K-12 History of Communism Standards. History of Communism provides guidelines for high school teachers to integrate the history of Communism, world-wide and in America, into social studies courses. These standards will ensure that students know about the actual tyrannical nature of Communist thought, the blood-stained history of Communist regimes, and the influence of Communist ideology on American politics.

This event will feature Mason Goad, Research Fellow at the National Association of Scholars; Mary Grabar, a Resident Fellow at The Alexander Hamilton Institute for the Study of Western Civilization and author of Debunking The 1619 Project: Exposing the Plan to Divide America, Debunking Howard Zinn, and the upcoming Debunking the FDR Myth; Sean McMeekin, the Francis Flournoy Professor of European History and Culture at Bard College, and author of several books; and Ken Pope, Vice President for Academic Operations and Strategic Partnerships at the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation. David Randall, Director of the Civics Alliance and Director of Research at the National Association of Scholars, will be moderating this event.
