To the Texas Music Industry Community, Music Friendly Texas Community Partners, and to all who support the Texas Music Office,

After nearly a decade spent in service of the Texas Music Industry, I announce today that I will be leaving my role as Director of the Texas Music Office (TMO) effective May 6, 2024. It has been my absolute honor and privilege to serve in this capacity since 2015, and I am very proud of all that the Texas Music Office has accomplished during my tenure as Director. I am proud to call myself a lifelong Texas Music Industry professional, and I look forward to continuing my career as I move on to my next opportunity.
First and foremost, I want to thank Governor Abbott and his executive staff, past and present, for their trust and support during my time at the TMO. A special thanks to the past and present leadership and staff in the Texas Economic Development and Tourism Office. This team has accomplished amazing things, and I am very proud to have worked alongside them to keep Texas the best place to do business. To my team at the Texas Music Office and all of the hard-working interns over the past years, I offer my heartfelt gratitude. Without your willingness to take on all that was asked of you (and much more), the Texas Music Office would not be what it is today ? the "Gold Standard" in state government support for the commercial music industry in the nation. To the individuals, organizations, and community leaders who had faith in our ever-growing mission, I am profoundly grateful.
The Texas Music Office will continue to provide excellent support to the music industry in Texas under the leadership of Chip Adams who will be the new Director of the Texas Music Office beginning May 7. Chip has done great work to grow the Music Friendly Texas Certified Community program from 10 community partners in 2019 to over 60 today. He is known for his organizational leadership, and the mission of the Texas Music Office will continue to grow and evolve under his direction.
I thank all of my friends in the Texas Music Industry for the amazing work they do and for the trust they have placed in me to speak for them during my time as Director of the Texas Music Office. I am humbled to call many of them friends, and I look forward to all that they will accomplish in the years to come.
