At the Silicon Valley Young Democrats next General Membership meeting, we will have an agenda item to discuss and vote on the below amendment to the SVYD bylaws. The meeting will take place on Monday, April 20, 2020 at 7pm. Due to the County’s shelter-in-place order, the meeting will occur over Zoom again. We will soon post our General Membership meeting event on Facebook with the Zoom link and phone number.

This change was recommended by the Bylaws Committee last fall but was postponed until after the March 3, 2020 election to keep the endorsement process consistent for that election.

March 2020 SVYD Proposed Bylaws Amendment

Article VII (Endorsements), Section 2(c)(ix) shall be amended to read as follows:

Any general membership endorsement vote must receive a simple 60% majority to be adopted.
