Hey John, it's DeKalb County Commissioner Ted Terry.
This year I'm up for re-election, and it's pretty widely-known that I'm sharing the Democratic ticket with President Joe Biden, our Members of Congress, and other important elected officials – but did you know that there'll be more than one slot for county commissioner on your ballot?
I'm only one of two of the County Commissioners representing a Super District across DeKalb County, and that means I'm going to be on the ballot next to four other key, contested County Commission races in DeKalb!
John, I've had the privilege of leading major changes and improvements to our community on the Board of Commissioners for the last four years, but I haven't been able to accomplish them alone. With such competitive races in those seats around me in the May primary, I'm doing all I can to reach my last End of Month Fundraising Goal before then and get out the vote – but I need your help. Can you chip in to help me support other progressives in DeKalb?

During the primary election season I've been trying to impress the importance of teamwork in decision making in DeKalb. We're a board of 7 commissioners, and it took input from all of them to:
✅ Pass the DeKalb Green New Deal policies to protect our environment
✅ Raise the county minimum wage to make sure folks in our community make a living wage
✅ Create the Eviction Legal Defense fund to combat housing insecurity
✅ Implement a NonDiscrimination Ordinance to ensure equality for all
I can't pass life changing policies like these by myself, John – we need to make sure our grassroots coalition shows up to elect progressive candidates across the board.
John, my last End of Month Fundraising Deadline before the primary is approaching quickly, and we still haven't reached our goal. Right now, I'm working hard to make sure we turn out voters for these critical races all over DeKalb, including mine. Can you pitch in today to help us Get Out the Vote?

Thank you,
Ted Terry
