I want to tell you about one of our Life Defenders (monthly supporters) named Jesse.

When Jesse was conceived, his father made the “simple” offer to pay for an abortion.

However, his mother fought for his life. Because of her courageous decision, Jesse, and now the seven children he is the father of, have life.

This is such an incredible story because I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. It’s not by mistake that you and I understand the devastating downstream impact that just one abortion has in our world.

My favorite part about my role here at Live Action is hearing from ordinary men and women who are combating abortion in powerful but often hidden ways.

Jesse’s story reminds me of the truth that each one of us has the power to save a life.

We, as pro-life people, are the answer to the problem of abortion. This is the most pressing human rights issue of our day. We can’t wait for someone else. John, it’s up to us to live out the pro-life message every day.

Through the years, I’ve realized that as someone who’s been given the truth and recognizes how evil abortion truly is, I need to regularly ask myself: If I don’t step up to rescue these innocent children, who will? If I fail to fight against the heartbreak of abortion, who will suffer from it?

Jesse shared more of his story with me personally, and he gave me permission to share it with you too:

Once I became a dad, I knew I wanted to be the best father that I could be.

Even though it wasn't easy for my mother to move ahead alone, she pushed through those early difficult times, and I guarantee you that she never once imagined how many lives would come through the one she decided to keep. I am thankful for her resolve.

My mom motivates me to continue fighting for the least of these, our most defenseless children.

Every month as I see my donation go through, I know that I am rescuing innocent children from abortion and transforming our society. And I know I’m not only fighting for these children, but their children’s children, and for their mothers and families who would be broken [because of] abortion. We cannot overvalue the impact of a single life saved.
