Friend —

The Supreme Court just heard arguments in the case of Idaho’s cruel and deadly abortion ban — a law they are expected to uphold.

It’s yet another reason that we MUST secure a pro-choice majority in Congress so we can pass nationwide abortion protections.

I have more to say about the Idaho case, but if you’ve heard enough and you’re ready to elect a pro-choice champion to Congress — a former employee of Planned Parenthood now endorsed by Planned Parenthood Action Fund — use this link to chip in:

Right now, in Idaho, abortion is illegal — except in cases where it would save the patient’s life.

That means if a pregnant patient comes to the ER needing abortion care but isn’t on the brink of death, doctors either have to delay treatment until they’re in critical condition or airlift them out of the state for treatment.

Think about it. The only way a doctor can follow the law and avoid jail time or losing their medical license is to wait for the patient to get worse OR send them away!

State laws like this never stay in one state. This is all part of the anti-abortion movement’s strategy.

That’s why, as a State Senator, I’ve used every tool at my disposal to protect reproductive freedom, expand access to abortion care, and protect the privacy of patients in Washington.

The bills I helped pass are critical, both for people who live here and for those escaping deadly restrictions in places like Idaho.

On the campaign trail, I refuse to shy away from abortion. For millions of women and pregnant people, these laws are life and death — and for all of us, it’s about basic human rights and bodily autonomy.

If you’re able, please make a donation of any amount so we can secure this open House seat, flip control of Congress, and codify abortion rights into federal law:

Thank you for staying in this fight. It takes all of us.
