Hello from St. Paul,
?
It was a short week at the State Capitol this week, as legislative business did not begin until Wednesday due to the Passover holiday.
?
We have now entered the home stretch in terms of Capitol activity. The 2024 legislative session must end on May 20, so if bills are going to move forward, now is the time.
?
That said, we are seeing the House majority continue prioritizing their omnibus finance bills within all areas of state government. Those proposals are slowly beginning to trickle out of the House Ways and Means Committee and headed to the House floor. I?m expecting them to receive full debates next week.
?
I will continue to keep you updated on the latest developments. In the meantime, don't hesitate to share your questions and comments regarding whatever issues are most important to you.

Melissa Woinarowicz and Cindy Urbaniak from Kennedy were in St. Paul this week.
I appreciated having the opportunity to join them in presenting HF5304, a bonding project to help the City of Kennedy fund underground water storage tanks.
Melissa and Cindy did a great job testifying in front of the Capital Investment committee Wednesday!
