Last week, my team wrote to you about the record-breaking fundraising that we saw in the first quarter of 2024.

It was proof that Democrats across the country understand the stakes in this year’s elections — and they’re fired up to defend the Democratic Senate majority in November.

But I have an update. And it’s not good.

Our fundraising has dropped off a cliff in April. Donations have slowed, and I’m getting worried that voters are losing interest in this historic election year at exactly the wrong time.

I’ve won my fair share of elections. So I know that to win this race, we need to be firing on all cylinders now — we can’t wait around until October.

Here’s what’s even worse: This drop in donor enthusiasm isn’t happening on the GOP side. In fact, Donald Trump and the RNC tripled their fundraising in March. 

Republicans will take advantage of any opportunity to defeat us, so we need to close ranks, step up our game, and fully fund the fight to defeat Trump and defend our Democratic Senate majority.
