Hello from St. Paul,
It was a short week at the State Capitol this week, as legislative business did not begin until Wednesday due to the Passover holiday.
We have now entered the home stretch in terms of Capitol activity. The 2024 legislative session must end on May 20, so if bills are going to move forward, now is the time.
That said, we are seeing the House majority continue prioritizing their omnibus finance bills within all areas of state government. Those proposals are in front of the House Ways and Means Committee where I am hearing them now and will eventually hear them again on the House floor.
I will continue to keep you updated on any news of note that happens in St. Paul. In the meantime, if you have any legislative questions or comments, please reach out at [email protected] or call 651.296.5505.
Have a good weekend,
Joe
