Hello from St. Paul,

 

The finish line is in sight as it relates to the 2024 legislative session, as lawmakers must complete their work at the Capitol by May 20.

 

Many questions remain regarding what bills will reach the finish line between now and then, and what legislation will simply die on the vine. As it stands today, omnibus finance bills are being debated in the House Ways and Means Committee before Democrats approve them and send them to the House floor for a full debate. I expect most of those will be heard on the floor next week.

 

I will continue to keep you updated on the latest developments. In the meantime, don't hesitate to share your questions and comments regarding whatever issues are most important to you.
