Hello from the State Capitol,

Call it the calm before the storm. Lawmakers had a shortened week this week due to the Passover holiday break.

?

After returning on Wednesday, discussions on omnibus finance bills within each area of state government slowly began in the House Ways and Means Committee, which is the final stop before they receive a vote on the House floor. I expect many if not all of these proposals to be debated on the House floor next week. I will keep you updated on any news of note in next week?s update.

?

Only 24 days remain until session is constitutionally required to end, and I am anticipating many long floor sessions from now until the deadline.

?
