National Volunteer Week
Hi Friend,

National Volunteer Week is an opportunity to shine a light on some very important people. Our Volunteer Faculty are at the heart of everything we do, sharing their unique skills and experience with eye teams around the world.

Made up of 400 world-leading experts in ophthalmology, nursing, anesthesiology, and biomedical engineering, they give their free time and energy to improve the quality of eye care available in communities around the world.

In 2023, 153 Volunteer Faculty gave up their free time and energy to give in-person training in local hospitals or on board the Flying Eye Hospital, virtual training courses, online lectures, or Cybersight consultations on complex patient cases.

We want to give a big thank you to all of our Volunteer Faculty, past and present, for their decades of dedication to saving sight.

But of course, there is another hero in this story. Our Volunteer Faculty are only able to share their skills because of supporters like you! Remember, without you none of this would be possible.
