Old Market Square
The Ay-Up Market returns to Old Market Square this weekend - a celebration of Nottingham's independent retailers, creatives, and many online businesses setting up stalls for the first time.
Opening times are:
Friday 11am-6pm
Saturday 10am-6pm
Sunday 10am-5pm
More than 60 local stallholders are taking part, such as Dragonflame Candles, Dukki, Snail & Rabbit, and Wiff Waff Designs. *See the full list of traders here [ [link removed] ]*.
Lots of live entertainment will also be on offer under the big tent, including performances from Princess Trium, Catmilk, Fat Digester, Carlton Brass, and Maria Bonita Dance Company. Soak up the atmosphere with a beverage from Nottingham's Blue Monkey Brewery or The Wandering Tea Company, and enjoy street food from Spice Cay or Syiok-Lah.

Spring is here, and ahead of May Day make your way to Sneinton Market Avenues to see what the artists and crafters have created after emerging from their winter hideaways.
Dozens of traders - including Lily Faye Illustration, Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust, The Knitting Pagan, Celestial Creations, and many more - will be joined by music and performances from the Nottingham Shakespeare Company and Cadence Noir.
The market is open from 12pm-5pm and is free to enter.

The Nottingham Motor Show, sponsored by Nottingham College, will include hundreds of classic vehicles from the early 20th century to the 1990s. You can also see the very latest models that car dealerships have to offer, including EVs.
It's the biggest show of its kind in the East Midlands, with a wide range of food and exhibitor stalls, family entertainment, a funfair for the kids, and a music marquee featuring Carlton Male Voice Choir and Cool Jazz. The RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight will also perform a flypast with a Lancaster Bomber!
Admission is free, event car parking charges apply.

Get ready for a day packed with outdoor family fun at the Newark Spring Family Day, set within the 42 acres of beautiful grounds and magnificent hall at the Renaissance at Kelham Hall.
Activities will include a bouncy castle, fun fair rides, axe throwing, and marshmallow toasting, plus the chance to meet your favourite princess and superhero characters! Food and drink stalls will be available, or pack your own picnics to enjoy a leisurely lunch.
Entry is £5 per person (kids go free) and limited free on-site parking is available.

The indie-rock band Glass Animals, formed in Oxford in 2010, head out on their Tour of Earth with special guest The Big Moon. They have released three albums to date with the most recent, "Dreamland," peaking in the UK charts at no.2 in 2020.
Glass Animals are best known for sleeper hit "Heat Waves" which went viral on TikTok and reached 2 billion Spotify streams by September 2022, and was nominated for Best British Single at the 2022 Brit Awards.
