John, do you have
a few spare hours a week?
Today, we’re sharing an important way that you can volunteer to help turn
the tide on mass incarceration from wherever you are -- sending text
messages! It’s easy, fun, and all you need is a computer and a solid
internet connection. You can volunteer with RJP and send texts from the
comfort of your home!
We need your help on the texting team to recruit more volunteers across
the country to help us win critical DA races. After signing up, your first
mission will be to text voters to help elect José Garza in Austin, Texas
and Victoria Burton-Harris in Wayne County, Michigan.

Texting is one of the most effective ways to reach people in today’s
world. Way more text messages are read than emails. So we’re using the
best texting tool to identify voters in districts with critical, upcoming
DA races and to recruit more volunteers to join us.
We’ve already used texting to achieve powerful victories last year --
helping elect bold reformers to DA seats so they can transform the justice
system from the inside out. We can do it again, but we need your help.

our justice system one text at a time.
